The Glens Falls Civic Center will host the NYSPHSAA state boys basketball tournament March 11-13, 2016.

Tuesday, March 1
Class AA state regional semifinal
Fox Lane 65, Horseheads 44: At Johnson City High School, Matt Redhead had 24 points as the Foxes (22-3) built a double-digit lead in the first half and cruised to their first state-playoff win in 12 years. Alex Olsen added 17 points and Sean New had 13. Fox Lane advanced to the regional final and will play Section 9 champ Middletown at 4:30 p.m. Friday at Orange County Community College in Middletown.

Class A state regional semifinal
Byram Hills 53, Red Hook 45: At the County Center, Matt Groll had 11 points and 15 rebounds as the Bobcats (20-5) outrebounded Red Hook 32-21. Skylar Sinon scored a game-high 13 and Lou Filippelli and Matt Milone added eight points apiece. Byram will now play Section 4’s Johnson City at 6:15 p.m. Saturday at SUNY Cortland in the regional final.

Class C state regional semifinal
Haldane 52, Chester 47: At the County Center, Tucker Beachak scored a game-high 22 points and Jackson Zuvic added 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Blue Devils (15-9). They overcame a seven-point halftime deficit to beat Chester for the second straight season in the regional semifinals. Haldane will have another rematch with Section 11’s Stony Brook in the state regional final at 6:45 p.m. Friday at Pace University’s Goldstein Center.
